Over the years,  Otis_Wong has been banned six times. This page is an archive of all six of them.

First Banning

The first ban of  Otis_Wong was for building a trap at the path of AviSGO's home by  witchy1000 on July 9th, 2019. This ban was further provoked by the fact that he built at spawn right in between two builds.  Otis_Wong would eventually be unbanned somewhere between August 9th and August 13th of 2019 for unknown reasons.

Second Banning

The second ban of  Otis_Wong was for grief on Tedster Island by  mSup. He would remain banned for almost a month until he was elicited that he actually had permission on Tedster Island, he later appealed and got unbanned.

Third Banning

On the night of February 28, 2020,  Otis_Wong was mining and was asking the chat about if the diamond ores he had found were natural or not. It's uncertain if any xray triggers went off for the moderators, but  Eclypto18 and  VonRiessfeld had ended up at  Otis_Wong's location. After observing  Otis_Wong's mining pattern they concluded that he was using xray to find diamonds. According to both mods— Otis_Wong had mined straight down at his own build site, from the surface, to a vein of diamonds. Then, mined in a diagonal pattern to another vein of diamonds. After that, he mined diagonally, again, to another vein of diamonds.  Otis_Wong tried defending himself by saying that he was using his "instincts" to avoid lava and find the diamonds. However,  Eclypto18 and  VonRiessfeld did not believe him. He was then banned permanently for the use of x-ray.

Otis Wong's Version of the Incident

This message was taken from a DM between  Hyperluminous and  Otis_Wong on Discord:

"I was mining cobblestone for my build, I thought it was not convenient to let a mod to tp me to a cobblestone generator. I started mining and I mined straight down without noticing, perhaps it was me feeling comfortable of doing so. Then I hit bedrock because I did not hear any lava. I dug around and found some coal, I dug them because I need them. After that, I dug around them to find more, but then, I found me some diamonds and I thought it was not normal to be here beside some iron and that high or low to be even natural. Therefore I asked syn to check it was man placed or not. However, he didn't responce for a long time and I thought he was busy, then I asked Elcy to check it for me and then she came, I asked which level diamonds can be spawned. Then darkerfly said it was y 7 and I had a big relief. They were legit diamonds and I mined them with all my might. Syn or Elcy then told me that I was x-raying, I told them the whole story but they do not listen. Then my mom told me to watch TV with her because that day was the finale of the show, I was full of stress. I warped back to the surface then when I gone back to my build, I got banned." -Otis Wong

 Otis_Wong also claims that he has never installed modifications in his life.

Aftermath

 Otis_Wong was not happy with this outcome and had started sending messages to MCO's Discord server trying to convince the mods that they had made a mistake but, to his dismay, they did not believe him.

Attempted Appeal

 Otis_Wong would later appeal his ban with admin  WaffleNomster.

 WaffleNomster wanted  Otis_Wong to send him a video of how he mined.  Otis_Wong would eventually send a 41 minute video[1] to the MCO discord with poorly captured footage of himself mining in a new Minecraft world. However, this did not convince  WaffleNomster that  Otis_Wong did not use x-ray.  WaffleNomster closed the appeal and  Otis_Wong remained banned for some time.

Final Message

Taken from #general on the MCO discord:

"I am going for real now, maybe after all I said you still won't belive me, maybe there's a better way to release my stress other than going to this particular Minecraft server. I don't know what's gonna happen next or what is gonna happen now, but I know without you, my life would be different. I cannot lie and say "Oh! Sorry for x-raying!" Becuase I never did and never will be. You can ask everyone I know in real life, they would say that I'm a honest person. I did not do anything to deserve this, waking up every night, getting my laptop whenever it rings, being punished for things I didn't do, I quit. I will do something better. If any admins still want to reopen the case I'll be happy to appeal, but maybe I shouldn't stay up late. This is a bad habit and I need to stop. Thanks for being a umbrella during the rain of my life, this server is really the best habitat and suitable place for me to rest. Perhaps the rain will stop one day and I don't need this umbrella, but thank you for being with me. Good bye, I will always miss you." -Otis Wong

The Third Unbanning

On March 11, 2020,  Otis_Wong was unbanned by  Anna_28 after a long analysis of the situation and logs, then a short conversation with Otis.

 Anna_28 - did you xray?
 Otis_Wong - no
(MCS) Otis_Wong has been unbanned.

The Fourth and Fifth Bannings

 Otis_Wong was banned on January 17, 2022 -- twice! He had been accused of harassing other players sexually in chat, which caused many players to hate him and wanting him banned. At 4:29 UTC,  Mechman007 banned  Otis_Wong with reason:

"Sexualisation of Minors. If unbanned demonstrates MCOs flawed value in allowing the ABILITY for heinous speech to continue. This is unlawful and disgusting. A flawed vision of what Freedom of Speech is, toxifying/ruining our community".

Unbanned 65 minutes later by  Zomon333. (also,  Mechman007 was demoted from being a moderator for this action)

Then at 10:06 UTC  Otis_Wong was banned again, by  1235_John.

The reason for the fifth ban was just a link to the Harassment Petition.

Unbanned 24 minutes later by  Zomon333.

The Final Banning

After multiple breakages of torches during PvP, Otis_Wong was banned by  Daltalf on the 23rd of January 2022 at 8:06 AM GMT for repeatedly griefing at spawn whilst PVPing with players ( Tytanium1778,  podd, and  IntelStar).

As he currently is already banned from Discord, IRC and Telegram because of his trolling, it is unlikely that his appeal would ever pass.

A few hours after his ban, a user named Otis_Wrong joined Discord, claiming to be Otis_Wong, seeking a ban appeal and even admitting that "yea this is discord ban evasion i'm banned on every platform". This user has since been banned from Discord as well.
