Holidonia

Holidonia is the name of a temporary world created to stand in place of Freedonia during a Staff holiday and Admin maintenance period, namely the holiday MinecraftOnline is taking starting the 4th of July 2021. It is similar to other temporary maps, such as Freedonia 2, in which the server did not have any rules that applied in normal Freedonia.
Events
The first day
The first player to join Holidonia was 
sm0ney5. In the first few hours of the temp map being online, most people were scattered due to spawning at random locations. The players began taking the time to explore, gather resources, and experience version 1.16. Players were quick to discover a "fish caught" leaderboard and the ability to change ones name color through sleeping in a bed.
A few hours in, 
Mechman007 and 
Spektra02 founded first "faction," the Blue Team (The Spawn Trench Project Group), which quickly rose to be the most prominent group, with member 
2b2tisFull claiming the Dragon Egg (later duping it with 
mrninjalex) and also getting the first full suit of Netherite. Leader Mechman007 ascended to the top of the fishing leaderboard, as one might expect of the Fishing Guild founder.
Afterwards
As a result of the Blue Team's prominence, its nearness to spawn, and the lack of any competitors, it became a target for many griefers and hackers. Eventually, frequent murder of it members and the griefing of its base splintered the team, with most hangers-on leaving for safer climes. The "Heese" team became the new de-facto blue team, with all its members claiming the blue name color.
The server was the subject of frequent deliberate crashing by a player, who was using VPNs, and a "magic client" in the words of 
Crimson_Aught. With the creation of a TikTok referencing McO, but unaware of the holiday, The Crusaders reformed to kill noobs at spawn. The noobs, expecting to see the sights and builds of McO, are instead met with lava casts, and randomized respawns. 
ickyacky also shot up to the top of the fishing leaderboard, and was the first to reach 1000 fish.
Things slowed down as people joined and got acclimated to the map, although spawnkilling was still rampant and exploits and bugs were still being patched. Several players were banned for technical attacks against the server (crashing the server).
End of the first week
By the time one week had passed, many regulars had given up on Holidonia, fed up the hacking, the chaos at spawn, and the general bad attitude present. The average player count began to drop, with mostly noobs being online, and people complained on the server discord.
About the world
World Border
The World Border was 10,000 blocks across from 25.50, -231.50. In stretched from ~5k to ~-5k on the X and Z axis. The first player to reach and discover the world border was 
HZombieMan, of whom posted a screenshot at the border. The World Border was also completely vanilla, being set using the /worldborder command. It did not resemble the circle shape of the Freedonia border.
Spawn
Random Start Location
When a player joins Holidonia for the first time they start at a random location in the map which becomes their respawn point, unlike on Freedonia where players respawn at the common Spawn. If a player had set their spawnpoint with a bed then broke the bed, they would end up at the normal world spawn
World Spawn
The Spawn of Holidonia was at 25.50, -231.50. It was very quickly lava casted, and now large cobblestone structures can be seen around the spawn. Underneath spawn a large area near bedrock was cleared out with 2b2t. Players would spawn there, with it being a challenge to escape from. It also had patroling spawn killers and griefers, who would add another level of difficulty to escaping. A picture of 0, 0 taken shortly before Freedonia returned can be seen.
New Spawn
The admins eventually moved the world spawn to a different location thousands of blocks away because the old spawn was too destroyed and covered in lavacasts. The new spawn was subsequently lavacasted by 
snakyman and 
KingServal.

The Spawn Trench Project Group
Formerly known as the blue team, this group aimed to control the spawn area by digging a massive trench around it. Some progress was made on this original goal, but was not completed before the group disbanded. Most members are part of other groups now.

The new blue team. Formed from the Freedonia Heese group, mostly known for spamming and many of its members obsession with 
Githis and the EPU. Heese was soon raided, and the site was frequented as a meeting point for players.

Brown Team
This group focused on avoiding drama and chilling together. Like many others, their base was raided and griefed multiple times, leading its members to cease playing on Holidonia.

The members of Cat Town the purple team are hidden away at The Cat Town Base. The location is only known by the residents of Cat Town. The only thing known is the pictures!

This group was a small group who was focused on getting high on the fishing leaderboard and raiding others. The base was located on top of a massive, skinny hill, and was never found. Responsible for the massive lavacasting in new spawn. Betrayed cavyX and burnt their base down.
