On 4 August 2023, Freedonia celebrated its 13th Birthday. Hourly gift included birthday cakes, and /goto and /unstuck were made available for all players during the time. This page lists all the major events that happened on that day.
Classic Games Fun
After much work and testing, 
Anna_28 implemented an improved version of the Pigchinko game, and this time the games were held at the newly opened Phoenix Isles Stadium. Out of the many players, 
Unclehunter15 wins the final game. Prior to the Pigchinko games, a few rounds of Spleef were also conducted, which 
E6V won.
Another set of Pigchinko games was held, with 
eevee_27 winning and receiving a Pigchinko Sceptre.
Separately, some Capture the Flag games were played as well.

Opening the Donor Vault at Batugus Labs Again... Twice
In the early hours of the celebrations, some people mentioned the previous vault opening, which prompted many other players to attempt a second opening of the Donor Vault, and, with help from Anna_28, successfully opened the Vault for the second time in its history. Later in the birthday, a third opening was achieved by many more people.
Verico Post Person of the Year Award
While Verico Post could not create an ingame event this year, they still managed to award 
SlowRiot as the Person of the Year for MCO's 13th birthday, via a private voting session.
Faces Return
On the 13th birthday, some notable players returned for the celebrations. At 21:07, SlowRiot would log in to both hang around at Spawn, and to enjoy the Pigchinko games. At 23:00, 
Ted1246 would join, for the first time in 485 days. And at 03:52 on August 5, 
AKSoapy29 logged in, for the first time in about 802 days.
Skin, Build, and Hunt Events
Around the 13th anniversary, 3 types of competitions were held - one on Discord, one in-game, and one for both. The first, called "The Hunt" was hosted by 
Teaacup and 
Void42_ and was made for both Discord and ingame, and was solved on 10 August 2023. The second, which was the "Celebrations Skin Contest" was made just for Discord use, in which people could submit version of their playerskins with the theme of celebration, hosted/judged by Void42_ and 
Luigifan100. The third, which is the 2023 Portal Build Competition, was hosted ingame at an event pad, with the hosts/judges being Void42_, Teaacup, and 
Azeur.
4.8 Never Forget
While waiting for a second set of Pigchinko games in the PI Stadium, bawest decided to have fun with their godly powers...
At 2:22:28 am BST, it happened. A swarm of charged creepers appeared out of nowhere and struck the people waiting, resulting in multiple casualties.
