Rimini is a large island town founded by bucketsofwasps in April 2020 through the MCO GeoFront Project. The town of Rimini was purchased by 
Aidan on April 8th, 2024, and has since been transformed into a farming hub for all of Freedonia!
History
Rimini, formerly known as The Geofront Project, was created as the ambitious capital of the League of Peaceful Towns and Settlements. bucketsofwasps was the figurehead for this project, managing overall construction and laying the foundation for our great town to rest upon. However, after his departure from the server on July 25th, 2022, Rimini entered a period of limbo. Management of the project was passed between 
RobotReaction, 
Link03, and the later-returned bucketsofwasps, but due to a lack of time to continue the project, it laid largely dormant for nearly two years. On April 8th of 2024, the town of Rimini was sold to Aidan, founder of the nearby metropolis The Continental, and the two settlements soon grew a close relationship. bucketsofwasps, now FishRei, would stay as a guaranteer or advisor, not wanting to break ties completely. Since the revival of Rimini, town maintenance has resumed and several new buildings have been established within the town, including a skyscraping cookie emporium and a free public gold & XP farm.
Location
Rimini is located in the western 1.12 expansion of Freedonia.
Reaching Rimini is most easily done by taking the Nexus System to the Blue 1 Borderlands Hub and travelling through its Nether Freeway towards Rimini, roughly a 100-block trek.
Additionally, Rimini can be accessed through the nearby Rimini-Tax Haven Thoroughfare, the Continental Route connecting Rimini and nearby settlements via boat, or elytra flight.
Plans for rail, elytra, and nexus links are in place for the future.
Properties
- Shulker Box - The center of Rimini is marked with a purple cube resembling a Shulker Box, designed to represent the people who donated shulkers filled with building supplies. It contains powered beacons which are matched to the four colors of the Rimini flag.
- Capitol Building - Immediately southeast of the Shulker Box, this impressive quartz building will be used to hold important meetings to decide the future of our lovely town.
- Transportation Center - Just northwest of the Shulker Box, this nether travel hub provides easy access to both Rimini and its model town within the Nether.
- Rimini Monument - Although not strictly part of Rimini, this public guardian farm is located just past the eastern edge of Rimini's 500-block radius circle. Run by
abamacus, the farm provides a free source of prismarine, sea lanterns, clay and ink sacs for all. - Rimini Bullioner - Rimini Bullioner is a free, public, automatic gold and XP farm for the people of Freedonia. It is currently running at half capacity, and is planned to double in size shortly.
- Cookie Emporium - This work-in-progress skyscraper from
EpicBaby is soon to be home to hundreds of reputation cookies, as a primary competitor to 
Clomik's collection at the Iceburg Museum. - Model Town - Located in the Nether, this 1/8th scale model of Rimini was created by abamacus to help plan construction of the town and improve movement between the town and the Rimini Monument.
