The SlowRiot route boat race of 2021 was the first boat race in years, this is due to it only recently being possible to host such events thanks to the update to 1.12! Gallery is at the bottom of the page.

Racers lead the charge right out of Far Harbor, lead by  swissm4n,  Mechman007,  oopsJay and followed closely by  Darkerfly,  _thresh_ and  Raterft!

Prizes

1st place: Special Named "Golden Boat" & Special Named "Golden Oar", 64 extra "Arrows of Splashing" and 30 tokens
2nd place: Special Named "Silver Oar", 40 extra "Arrows of Splashing" and 20 tokens
3rd place: Special Named "Bronze Oar", 32 extra "Arrows of Splashing" and 10 tokens

Participation prizes

The prizes that were given to ALL participants were:
- 10 "Arrows of Splashing"
- Special Named "SlowRiot Route Boat"

Special named items also included lore text.

Rules

• Follow the route but shortcuts are ok if you can find them.
• No using projectiles of any kind is allowed
• No other kind of PvP is allowed

To counteract PvP and help identify cheaters,  Anna_28 created a script to give every participant their own named llama! Each participant was instructed to guide their llama into a boat and drive the boat with the llama to the finish line, a funny side effect of this was seen when duos had a partner riding the llama in the boat!

Named Boats

The NamedBoats plugin was recently created and added prior to this event, which allowed players to rename boat items in an anvil so the boat they placed would be named. It also allows the participation boat item (SlowRiot Route Boat) and first place prize item (Golden Boat) to have custom textures with the MinecraftOnline Resource Pack when placed.
