About the competition

On May 15th, 2020, a new competition will bring joy to the hearts of the Freedonian citizens: more prizes to win! This time, the goal is to find the best railway station on the server. Everyone can participate, alone or in teams, but of course, it is recommended to build stations at places worth visiting (e.g. in towns, near interesting public places), but this can only be done in consultation with the owner of said place. This is obvious, but if you build on land that does not belong to you, you will be banned according to the server rules. On June 15th, 2020 23:59 GMT, the project must be finished and it must be completely functional. There will in no way be a payback for the used materials for this competition.

Requirements

Stations must at least include the following things:

  • One platform with two tracks per connected railline (or craftbook switches should be provided);
  • There need to be an option to go to spawn, when the user wants to go to spawn. This can be either with or without ticket and the connections will be tested. When this test fails, the station will be disqualified.
  • A place for a ticket dispenser per connected FRS railline (one ticket dispenser requires a 1 by 3 by 3 spot). If a ticket is required for both directions, two ticket dispensers are required - note: the staff team can provide a shop for the FRS mainlines if asked for (then the provided ticket dispenser will be changed into a sign shop), other tickets (for example for private lines) will have to be provided by the players themselves;
  • A place where you can buy carts (these will not be provided by the staff team) or an alternative way of providing carts (eg. cart dispensers);
  • Craftbook to Launch, Eject and Sort player carts (for help, check the Craftbook page).

Last change: May 6th, 08:30 GMT

Entries

Every competitor (or competitor team) should list their entry in the following list. Multiple entries per player will be accepted, but you can only win a prize once. Stations which have been built before the competition can participate too.

Participating stations

Note: If possible, please make a wikipage for the station too, especially when it will be connected to the FRS Mainlines.

Stations which were not completed in time

  • Phoenix Park/ M&A Co.* [-4526 -11259] “mostly complete and second most complete station on the Phoenix Isles Blue Line” cross city. Built by getplayerhead.sh?Himan75&16.png Himan75 located inside M&A co. Tower accessed through stair way. Connects to Phoenix central station
  • getplayerhead.sh?KingServal&16.png KingServal: [-6063 -13311] not completed - Connected to FRS

Judging and prizes

The judging of the railway stations will happen during the days following on the end date of the competition. Depending on the amount of entries, we hope to be finished on June 20th, 2020. The jurying will be done by getplayerhead.sh?jimmyd93&16.png jimmyd93, getplayerhead.sh?ickyacky&16.png ickyacky and getplayerhead.sh?LewisD95&16.png LewisD95. The winning team will win a free connection to the closest mainline, all services and materials will be provided. An alternative prize for the free connection to the FRS will be given, if already provided, or when the competitor does not want his station connected. Other prizes will be distributed to the nine following players.
