Takadokia (previously known as The Midlake Island(s), New Sardinia and New Northwest Verico) is a town located at the southern part of Lake Ganaz. It was originally founded by players
HY_Turkic and
LolePlay_PL in September 2019, and rapidly came to encompass the southern portion of Lake Ganaz.
It has a Nexus link that connects to South (Lime) Hub 3, which is located in Takadokia Velazzo Station. It also has an FRS connection, provided by Takadokia Lole Station. Vizima is the nearest warp, located around 1000 blocks away.
General Information

Takadokia is located about 14,000 blocks away from spawn and is a town built on the ocean and a few scattered islands. While the overall area of the town is massive (with an area of around 800,000 meters squared), most of said area is ocean rather than actual landmass. Many of Takadokia's builds are located on the islands, connected by vast roads of cobblestone and ice (the latter being for fast travel).
The capital district of the town is Velazzo, home to the town hall and Takadokia Velazzo Station, which includes the Nexus link and the Nether portal. The district with the highest building density is Grande Sardinia, located in the western-most frontier of Takadokia. The oldest district is The Midlake Islands, with it being the original site of Takadokia and the location of the East Midlake Museum, which features recreations of old builds on the island and the oldest building in the entire town. The town is self sufficient for the most part, with it having both public animal and mob grinders. See the Districts section for more information on the divisions that make up Takadokia.
Most buildings in Takadokia are built and maintained by HY_Turkic, though there are plenty of builds that are works of other players; see Residents for a full list of inhabitants and the town rules. If you wish to build or take up residence in Takadokia, please ask HY_Turkic.
Districts
Takadokia is divided into six districts of varying size and building density.
| District | Description | Photo |
|---|---|---|
| Velazzo | The heart of Takadokia, Velazzo is also the town’s largest land district, and the district that visitors will most likely see first due to it housing the Takadokia's Nexus link. It’s made of three individual islands; the eponymous Velazzo Island, Vysoky Island and Freska Island (which is completely artificial). It has many scenic seaside apartments, as well as the town hall, the Lettuce Skyscraper (built by Freskooo) and Vysoky Palace.
|
|
| Grande Sardinia | The only district with little to no landmass to its name, most of Grande Sardinia’s “territory” is situated on or near a cobblestone bridge around 200 blocks in length. It can be seen as the suburbs of Takadokia. Along with The Midlake Islands, it’s one of the oldest districts in the town. It has quite a few builds, including the Town Library and the Plank Road plots. It’s the starting point to an unfinished bridge connecting Takadokia to the warp city Vizima. | |
| The Midlake Islands | The Midlake Islands district is an integral part of the town’s history, being the site of the original settlement that would grow into Takadokia. It's comprised of three islands; East, West and South Midlake Island. It was from this district alone that Takadokia spread out and became what it is today. It contains several builds, most notable of which being the Independence Memorial. An honourable mention is the East Midlake Museum, which displays Takadokia’s oldest builds. | |
| Nea Makedonia | A Greek-inspired district, Nea Makedonia is comprised of the islands of Voreia, Kriti and Kerasia. Kriti island contains an apartment complex, as well as the Bunker Museum. On Voreia Island stands a tall apartment building originally built by Kotobuki_. Kerasia Island is the location of Takadokia's former visitor center, and is named after the artificial cherry trees built on it.
|
|
| Verican Lebanon | A Middle-Eastern inspired district, Verican Lebanon contains only one apartment building. Its name comes from the fact that the island on which the district stands was originally claimed by Verico. | |
| Old Loletown | Another historic district of Takadokia. Old Loletown’s mainland contains founder HY_Turkic first ever build and house in Freedonia, as well the house of its co-founder LolePlay_PL. On an island to its north stands Sardinian Eden, a small village built in the style of the town New Eden, with even a working clock tower made functional by aggrievedCanine, the architect behind the actual New Eden Clocktower.

Notable Builds
Below is a list of a few notable builds found in Takadokia. These buildings are significant in some way, be it historical or sentimental.
| Build | Main builder | Construction started | Description | Photos |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Takadokia Lole Station | HY_Turkic
|
2020 | A humungous FRS station, originally built to partake in the Freedonia Best Railway Station Competition, where it ended up winning 4th place. It started construction in May 2020, but wasn't connected to the Freedonia Railway System until February 2023. The station is a complex made up of a few different sections. By area alone, it is the largest single build in Takadokia. | |
| Vysoky Palace | 2020 | A palace that also quadruples as an apartment, a hotel, a mega farm and a music tower, located on Vysoky Island. It started construction early in 2020, but wasn't completely decorated and finished until early 2024. | ||
| East Midlake Museum | 2021 | A museum containing Takadokia's earliest builds, located on East Midlake Island. While most of the original builds on the island were taken down, identical copies were constructed using the exact same blocks from the originals. However, a few were left intact and unmoved; the signs placed by LolePlay_PL are original and untouched, being historically significant. This also applies to the Rest-Base and Lighthouse, the first and second buildings in Takadokia respectively.
|
||
| Town Library | 2024 | A massive sanctuary for avid readers. It was one of the most expensive buildings to construct in Takadokia, utilizing almost a double chest full of bookshelf stacks to build, taking up a few stacks of diamond blocks. | ||
| Independence Memorial | 2024 | A memorial commemorating the 4th anniversary of Takadokia's independence, located on South Midlake Island. It's heavily based off of builds like the Parthenon. | ||
| Lettuce Skyscraper | Freskooo
|
2020 | The tallest building in Takadokia, located on Freska Island. It is the only true skyscraper in the whole town, with a height of 65 blocks. | |
| Crystal Beacon | Darkerfly
|
2020 | A massive beacon crystal. One of the first builds in Takadokia not to be constructed by HY. | |
| Takadokia Ship | Wolf_War
|
2020 | A massive ship made for Takadokia, adorned by the colors of the Takadokian flag. | |
| Fuzbol's Tower | FuzbolMC
|
2023 | Being a nexus warp, Takadokia contains one of FuzbolMC's signature towers. The second tallest building in Takadokia, it is 58 blocks tall (7 blocks shorter than the Lettuce Skyscraper).

History
HY_Turkic and LolePlay_PL landed on Midlake (now East Midlake) Island on September 9th, 2019 while on an expedition. They claimed ownership of the small island and erected a few small builds there. While this stay was meant to be temporary and the island a quick rest-stop, the stay quickly became permanent and both founders soon intended to fully move there. Lole became inactive not long after, and HY would continue developing the settlement. He fully moved there, expanded to the neighboring islands, started building a road to the somewhat nearby warp town of Vizima, and began a long partnership with
pretzel33's Sand Island. The area now called Old Loletown, the site of HY's first home and Lole's original base, was incorporated into the town as an exclave. The town at this point was known by the name "New Sardinia".
Due to financial troubles, New Sardinia was sold to
Beeraeka in February 2020 for a total of 15 iron blocks and became a colony of Verico under the name "New Northwest Verico". Though technically owned by Verico, New Northwest Verico enjoyed almost full autonomy, continued being expanded by HY and got its own Nexus link. In April, HY repaid Beer the 15 iron blocks and New Sardinia got its independence from Verico, but stayed part of the Bedrocco Empire for the time being. In May, the town was renamed for the last time to its current name of "Takadokia".
In July, Takadokia got full independence from the Bedrocco Empire. The town underwent structural reforms that saw the creation of districts to replace the old system of division, and renovations were made to various areas in Takadokia, such as The Midlake Islands and Velazzo. From this point onwards, the development of Takadokia has been spread out over long periods of time, largely focused on populating the districts and finishing up projects previously left unfinished. Takadokia Lole Station was finally made operational in February 2023, connecting the town to the FRS.
