Located in the Old Occidental Region, Mistral Valley is a growing city-state with aspirations to be an international superpower which was founded on February 11th 2019. It was founded after getplayerhead.sh?CaptainIceman&16.png CaptainIceman and getplayerhead.sh?Merciful_fate_88&16.png Merciful_fate_88 decided to leave their desert town in search of a new area to call home. Since its inception the town has grown rapidly attracting many new people to become citizens of the town. It has had many visitors including multiple members of staff. The town features an Old Town which is where the town started which has older style buildings, a new town where Skyscrapers and other large buildings are being built inlcuding a Pokemon themed arena with Spleef, XP Farm, Large Wool Farm, Auto-Sugar Cane Farm, Steak Farm and many smaller buildings around the outskirts of the town. In 2021 the town become more modern with more urban buildings and skyscrapers being built. Mistral Valley prides itself on being one of the safest settlements in Freedonia, even in its large size it has completely 100% disabled all mob spawns. You won't find a safer area to live in. In 2022 we founded the Freedonian Commonwealth in collaboration with Thurston, it is an alliance formed with the goal to bring the original Freedonian lands together so they they could work together and prosper. Currently there are 13 member nations. In 2024 Mistral Valley was nominated for Outstanding Settlement of the Year at the MCO Awards.

How to get to Mistral Valley

If you would like to come visit or migrate to Mistral Valley all are welcome! There are a few ways to get to Mistral Valley. Mistral Valley has a Nexus connection located on South-East (Yellow) 2, this is by far the easiest way to travel to the city. Mistral Valley is also connected to the Boat Routes specifically on the Simmuel Route (Lime Green Light Blue) which branches off to White and Green which leads directly to Mistral Valley. Mistral Valley additionally is connected to two road systems, it is linked to Simmuel's Road Complex and is designated as the Purple Route. It also has connections to the Freedonia Highway Route 28 East near Thurston and Freedonia Highway Route 101 South near Oakland. Another way to reach Mistral Valley is through the Freedonian Commonwealth Nether-Plains Freeway which connects every city in the Freedonian Commonwealth via a Nether Roof Ice Highway. The Founding and Early History

After CaptainIceman & Merciful grew tired of their original home they set out seeking new lands settle in. On February 11th 2019 Merciful came across a spot in Freedonia about 4000 blocks away from spawn. It is a small unsettled area between two hills. They both decided to settle in the location and Iceman proposed "Mistral Valley" as the name and merciful quickly agreed with his choice. Soon after its inception Mistral Valley started to explode in population, gaining eight new citizens within the first month which is the largest boom in population the city has seen at once. Sometime in March, Merciful and Iceman came across a player named getplayerhead.sh?Omoshiroi_Sana&16.png Omoshiroi_Sana starting his own settlement very close to Mistral Valley, in areas intended to be expanded into. At first relations were tense between the two settlements, both groups were not pleased that they had settled so close to each other. Eventually tensions were eased as CaptainIceman talked to Sana and it was clear there was just miscommunication between the groups. Iceman had offered to Annex Omoshiroi's land and have it incorporated into the territory of Mistral Valley and he accepted these terms becoming the 9th new citizen for Mistral Valley.

The Dark Ages of Late 2019 - Early 2021

The town was in control mainly by CaptainIceman for a few months in mid 2019 while Merciful continued his Solo projects, but would return to the city. Eventually CaptainIceman was banned in June 2019 and the progress of the town went to a halt. Merciful kept slowly building the town with a few remaining citizens while CaptainIceman was banned but Merciful left the town once again to continue his solo works. The progress on Mistral Valleys construction dropped exponentially, with only a couple citizens still living in the area.

The 2021 Mistral Resurgence

In May 2021 CaptainIceman was unbanned and returned to Mistral to continue expanding the Town. For about 5 months Ice was the sole owner of Mistral Valley until Merciful once again rejoined him to continue the town once again, but left again shortly after leaving CaptainIceman as the sole owner and sole active resident of Mistral Valley for the third time. This marked the beginning for a new era for Mistral Valley, an era fueled by Iceman's thirst for expansion and influence. This era was the start of many new projects including updating and vastly expanding the city's infrastructure, beautifying old and new city areas and removing unfinished legacy projects to pave the way for new progress while being sure to preserve iconic original Mistral Valley structures and features.

The 2022 Mistralian Federation Project

As of January 2022 CaptainIceman has pledged himself to expanding Mistral Valley as far as he can without interrupting other builds. He commenced the Great Mistral Wall project and has since made a large extensive border of all the free land around Mistral for him to expand into. In January Mistral Valley became the leader of the United Mistralian Federation, an alliance of active towns on the Freedonian continent and is currently accepting member nations. In 2022 a new subject of Mistral Valley was built inside the walls of spawn called Sprucedale. The Principality of Sprucedale is a micronation inside the walls of spawn, all citizens of Mistral Valley and the United Mistralian Federation are automatically citizens of the state and are welcome at any time. In September 2022 Mistral Valley's connected to the Simmuel's Road Complex was completed.

The 2023 Expansion

2023 has been one of Mistral Valley's most productive years. Many new buildings have been constructed including larger skyscrapers and homes proving even after 4 years Mistral Valley is still active and expanding more than ever. Mistral Valley has also reached farther than ever before, including colonizing untouched parts of its land and even completing a new settlement inside the border Mistral City. Many new nations have created Embassies inside Mistral Valley and Mistral Valley has also created embassies all over Freedonia expanding its influence and allies.

The 2024 Modernization, Freedonian Commonwealth and Population Boom

After the 2023 expansion, the largest the city has seen since its founding, in 2024 Mistral Valley has its goals set on modernizing the city and bringing it into the modern year. As of February 2024 many new buildings, skyscrapers and auto farms including two sugar cane farms, a steak farm and an XP Farm (WIP) have been created for the use by the public. Mistral also became a close ally to Floatsam, a small village nearby. getplayerhead.sh?CaptainIceman&16.png CaptainIceman would also revamp the United Mistralian Federation and reform it into the Freedonian Commonwealth upon the admittance of Floatsam and Kanal Town to the alliance. The Commonwealth seeks to accept more members this year from across Old Freedonia. On March 22th 2024 Mistral Valley was connected to Freedonia's Nexus making it easier than ever for residents and tourists to visit the town. 2024 has also been the largest population boom since the town's inception, gaining over 15 New Citizens as of May 2024. In Late April 2024 The Great Commonwealth Highway began construction, connecting all member cities of the Freedonian Commonwealth with an ice highway on the nether roof and the Mistral Arena was configured for Spleef Games, which has held a few events including the Snow Bumps Tournament, the largest spleef event on MCO in years. In June 2024 one of Mistrals biggest projects was completed, The Glowstone Mall (also known as the Mistral City Market) it is a large 3 story 30 store brick mall inspired by the real life Ponce City Market in Atlanta GA and had its Grand Opening on June 19th 2024. Shortly after Mistrals new and improved XP Farm, named XPerion Tower, was completed and is one of the closest XP farms to any nexus! In July 2024 Mistral Valley was nominated for Outstanding Settlement of the Year at the MCO Awards.

Mistral Valley has an Elder Guardian on display in its very own aquarium!
Mistral's National Animal is the Mooshroom. It has a large population of free roaming Mooshroom since it's introduction to the area in 2019. Their population has diminished greatly due to poachers.
The Waters surrounding Mistral Valley have an abundance of underwater Iron Golem. No one knows how they got there, how long they've been there or why they don't move or die.
It is believed that Mistral Valley could possibly have the largest border wall in Freedonia.
Mistral Valley's Biome is mostly ocean despite it once being a forest. This is due to many years of map conversions changing biomes in the process. There are a few rare JungleHills & Jungle Biome areas within the borders.
Mistral Valley is the largest fully lit up area in MCO. It is visible from the furthest zoom from the map.
